The Manx Emergency Doctor Service is to be moved from its base at Noble's Hospital, as part of the measures to combat swine flu.
The appointment only out of hours GP's surgery is to switch to a temporary home to provide additional capacity for dealing with people suffering from the virus.
The change should not affect MEDS and it is hoped it will continue to operate as usual.
Chief operating officer at the DHSS Lesley Keenan says the move will help to ensure flu sufferers don't infect other patients:
