Move will save £250K says Minister
It’s likely a ward at Noble's Hospital will close for a four month period, the Health and Social Care Minister has admitted.
Ward 20 is a rehabilitation ward which is currently occupied by 11 patients, even though there are 22 beds.
Howard Quayle says by transferring the patients to other wards which have spare capacity, the quality of care will remain and the move will save the department around £250,000.
