Tender process for building work on new CRHS hits brick wall

Government receives no formal tender bids

No formal tender bids have been received for the new Castle Rushen High School.

The education, sport and culture minister has told Tynwald that no companies have come forward to carry out the build.

The project - to replace the aging school in Castletown - went out to tender earlier this year.

Daphne Caine says her department is seeking feedback from contractors as to why they don't want to bid for it:
