LegCo members there to provide proper scrutiny
An MLC who left the Department of Infrastructure just before Tynwald Day says she believes there's always been some tension between the Legislative Council and the House of Keys.
There was no official word about Kate Lord-Brennan's departure at the time, but news of it has emerged in the last couple of days.
She's says she wants to devote more time to her scrutiny role - and if LegCo members are doing they're job correctly, this isn't always going to find favour with members of the Keys.
