Move affects around 1,200 Manx customers
Tesco Bank is to extend the closure date of its service to credit card customers in the Isle of Man, by six months.
Government says the Department for Enterprise had initiated direct contact with the bank to understand their rationale for proposed changes for Manx residents.
Following discussions, Tesco Bank confirmed they would be extending the closure date for about 1,200 impacted customers by six months.
The original date for withdrawal of the service was schedule May 3.
In the statement, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, Minister for Enterprise commended said he was grateful for the move and said he hoped it would provide 'valuable time' for customers to find alternative providers.
