New rules come into force on 16 September
Residents who are not fully vaccinated will no longer have to test or self-isolate when returning to the Isle of Man.
It will only apply to those who have travelled within the Common Travel Area in the 10 days beforehand.
The change will come into force on Thursday (16 September).
Rules for people arriving who have travelled from green and amber list countries will remain the same – entry from red list countries remains prohibited.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle has described it as a ‘baby step’:
From Thursday residents will also no longer need to apply for a Manx Travel Permit, or vaccination exemption, however everyone will still need to fill in a landing form.
Mr Quayle says it remains the intention to restore ‘restriction-free’ travel but the Council of Ministers feel the changes represent a ‘positive transitional step forward’.
