Tynwald body hears evidence fit-to-work tests
Isle of Man work capability assessments don't consider people with mental health issues, a parliamentary body has been told.
Leading figures from two local charities have given evidence to Tynwald's Social Affairs Policy Review Committee.
The court voted to look into the running of the assessments earlier this year.
One of those giving evidence at the latest sitting was Marcia Brabbs from Safe, Strong, Secure, an organisation for victims of domestic abuse.
Speaking to Manx Radio afterwards, she said the forms and assessments needed to change:
BMA finds less than a quarter of doctors recommend working at Manx Care
Abuse towards bus drivers 'will not be tolerated'
Mountain Road closed due to snow and ice
Majority of rates going up for residents across the Island
