
There seems to be a grudging acceptance among the Manx public of treasury minister Allan Bell's budget for the coming year.
He announced, among other things, an increase in the higher tax rate, from 18% to 20%, electricity prices rising by seven per cent, departmental spending cut by £37 million and National Insurance going up by one per cent.
