Elizabeth II received a copy of 'Our Island'
Queen Elizabeth II has sent a second letter to Island charity Beach Buddies, commending its work.
The monarch wrote in response to receiving a copy of the environment magazine 'Our Island'.
In her letter, the Queen said she, "understood how the local community was so proud of the special recognition which [our] beaches have been awarded".
It follows the first letter from Buckingham Palace in January last year, paying tribute to how the organisations, "significantly raised awareness about the world's marine environment".
