A government commitment to work more closely with the tourism industry has been cautiously welcomed by the chairman of the Manx Hospitality Partnership.
As well as staff cuts, the Department of Economic Development has announced it would try to communicate more effectively with those running hotels and other tourism related firms.
Speaking live on Manx Radio, Theo Fleurbaay told John Moss the announcement was a start:
