Environment minister says we must protect local food producers
The environment minister has made a plea to the public to keep the Island's farmers in mind when out walking.
Geoffrey Boot was speaking at yesterday's government media briefing when he mentioned the safety of local farmers and their livestock.
In recent weeks, there have been particular warnings about walking through fields with cows in, following reports of people having run-ins with the animals.
