Warnings for gales and overtopping on Monday
Three new weather warnings have been issued for Monday into Tuesday.
They come off the back of Storm Boelo which has hit the Island over the last 24 hours.
The first yellow warning is for coastal overtopping on Monday morning.
Strong south-southeast winds will bring minor overtopping of waves and debris onto exposed coasts and promenades around high tide ~11am.
Areas affected include Douglas promenade, Ramsey promenade, Laxey promenade, Shore Road in Rushen and Castletown promenade.
A second yellow warning for gales will come into force at 6pm with gusts of up to 65mph expected in some areas.
Ronaldsway Met Office said: "Gale or severe gale force south to southwest winds will develop through Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday, with gusts of 50-60 mph expected widely, and gusts of up to 65 mph on higher ground and exposed coastal areas.
"This may result in fallen branches/ trees and disruption to travel. The chance of severe gale force winds diminishes after this period, but the wind remains strong to gale force southwesterly for much of Tuesday."
The third warning, an amber warning, is for significant overtopping of waves and debris onto coastal roads and promenades around high tide on Monday night at ~11:30pm.
Areas affected include Douglas promenade, Ramsey promenade, Laxey promenade, Shore Road in Rushen and Castletown promenade.
