Icy conditions caused problems for motorists throughout the day on Wednesday
A number of routes around the Island will remain closed tonight due to the icy conditions.
It's after Wednesday's wintry weather caused disruption to motorists throughout the day.
Department of Infrastructure officials have been out gritting and inspecting various roads to ensure they are safe for vehicles.
However, after its latest assessment, the DoI has confirmed three roads will not be re-opened until 8am on Thursday morning at the earliest.
The Beinn-y-Phott Road, the West Baldwin Road from Injebreck to Beinn-y-Phott Road, and the Druidale Road from Ballaugh to Brandywell Cottage will all remain closed overnight.
Alan Hardinge is Maintenance Manager at the DoI's Highways Division.
His job is to coordinate the efforts to keep the Island's roads safe.
