Comes after DOI commits to reviewing social housing eligibility
A Ramsey commissioner is calling on the Department of Infrastructure to reassess the thresholds for first time buyers schemes on the Island.
Juan McGuinness has praised the department for reviewing the thresholds for social housing.
However, he says the Island is at risk of having people earning too much to qualify for a first time buyer's house but still be eligible for social housing, which he says is 'fundamentally incorrect'.
Mr McGuinness is calling on the minister to 'follow through' with his commitment to review the parameters annually.
