Tynwald to vote on appointment this month
It's expected Tim Baker MHK will be made the new chair of Manx Utilities.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle will ask his colleagues in parliament to approve the appointment at this month's routine sitting of Tynwald, on Tuesday, 19 May.
The post will be vacated by Dr Alex Allinson, who was appointed as education minister following a mini reshuffle earlier this year.
The new role will add to an already-lengthy list of duties for Mr Baker, whose current responsibilities include memberships of two departments, children's champion, and chairing both the planning committee and Isle of Man Meats.
