
A member of Douglas Borough Council says last night's private meeting to try and get the £3.4 million scheme to refurbish the Bowl back on track didn't reveal anything new.
The council has pulled out of the scheme, which was to have been jointly funded with government, on a 50-50 basis.
Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee Stephen Pitts says eleven councillors attended the meeting, which was briefed again by chairman of the organising committee for the Commonwealth Youth Games, Geoff Karran.
Mr Pitts says the only matter to be clarified is the length of any loan, but if anything is going to happen it needs to be soon:
