The vast majority of the Island's population appears happy with plans for a centralised store of key medical information.
That's according to the Department of Health, after consultation over the proposed Manx Emergency Care Record, or MECR.
The public has been invited to opt out of the system, but fewer than one per cent chose to do so.
The MECR would record electronically individuals' medication and allergies, and those details, normally kept with a GP, would be available instantly to doctors in an emergency.
Director of the Strategic Information and Development Directorate Paul Harper says those who don't want their records included have some common concerns:
