Exhibition to coincide with book three
A private viewing is being held tonight (Fri 7), to celebrate the latest instalment of one of the most popular works of Manx social history.
The book series 'Manx Tholtans' is a documentation of the Island's endangered vernacular architecture - especially isolated rural homesteads which are abandoned and quickly deteriorating.
To coincide with the launch of 'part three', photographer Ray Kelly and partner Niamh - a multimedia artist - have also curated 'T'oltans Reclaimed: A Reflection of Times Past' at the Hodgson Loom Gallery in Laxey.
The preview takes place from 6 until 8:30 this evening, with a Tholtan themed exhibition featuring installations, photographs, family heirlooms and more remaining on site until Saturday 29 - that will be open to the public from tomorrow.
