
Senior banker Tony Wild has been elected to the Legislative Council.
He polled 16 votes at this morning’s (Monday) sitting of the House of Keys with retired meteorological officer and Arbory commissioner Brian Rae gaining five votes.
There was one spoilt paper.
Mr Wild, head of priority services at Standard Bank, takes the seat made vacant by the election in July of Clare Christian as President of Tynwald.
His term of office is until February 2013.
