A special guest conductor will appear with Rushen Silver Band at a memorial concert on Saturday evening.
Castle Rushen High School (pictured) will be the venue and the man with the baton will be Richard Evans, Associate Conductor with the famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band.
It's the annual concert in memory of Alistair Drinkwater, a former pupil of the school who died of cancer ten years ago, and proceeds will go to Rebecca House, the Island's new children's hospice.
Alistair's father, Eric, is delighted such a distinguished guest will be involved (audio file attached):
The concert starts at 7.45pm on Saturday.
