One of the greatest motorbike riders of all time, Italian Valentino Rossi, is to visit this year's TT.
The eight-time MotoGP world champion will be a spectator at the opening event, the Superbike race on Saturday, June 6.
Rossi's visit here has been arranged by the event's safety partner Dainese, and Yamaha.
The news, announced this morning, is a big coup for TT organisers.
And fans will be able to cheer two Italian legends, when Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi ride a lap of the mountain course on 2009 Yamaha R1 machines before the big race, flanked by travelling marshals.
