There's a new hand on the conductor's baton at the Isle of Man schools' music service.
Maggie Richardson (pictured) will take over the Department of Education's top music post from Graham Kirkland.
Maggie's been the acclaimed Head of Performing Arts at Castle Rushen High School, and is currently on a tour of Paris with one of her choirs, Happy Harmony.
Now out of the classroom, she has a myriad of roles, from overseeing the music curriculum to working with the Island's youth orchestras, ensembles and the Manx Youth Choir.
She says school music in the Island is thriving:
