A prestigious medical conference gets under way in the Isle of Man tomorrow (Tuesday).
The tenth annual Small Communities Conference for Nursing and Midwifery will be attended by more than 140 delegates from Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar and Germany.
The two-day event is being hosted by the Manx government's Department of Health at the Keyll Darree lecture theatre in Braddan, and will focus on best practice and innovations from each of the five participating countries.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, the keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Dickon Weir-Hughes, who is chief executive officer and registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the governing body for all nurses and midwives in the British Isles.
Professor Weir-Hughes will also open the conference.
