
Dog owners in Castletown, Port St Mary and Onchan have to keep a closer eye on their pets, as Tynwald considers new bye-laws.
The dog control laws give the local authorities the power to issue £50 on the spot fines for having dogs in banned areas.
Although the rules came into force earlier this year, Tynwald will discuss the regulations when it sits on Tuesday next week.
Onchan Commissioner Brian Stowell (pictured) says the new laws are welcome and he hopes people will observe them:
