The Island's biggest local authority is taking the threat posed by swine flu very seriously.
Douglas Corporation is holding seminars and providing extra training for its staff, and is concentrating on two areas of what it calls 'grave concern'.
Leader of the Council David Christian says contingency plans have been drawn up to ensure refuse collection and cremation services can continue, in the even of large numbers of employees being off work:
