A new forum to enable representatives of large Manx towns to discuss matters of mutual interest, such as housing, could be on the way.
Ramsey commissioner Leonard Singer came up with the idea for an association, which would include Onchan, Douglas, Peel, Castletown and Ramsey.
An organisation already exists for the Island's local authorities, but most of the towns are not members.
