Square closure hits Xmas trade
Business owners in Castletown say there has been a definite, long-term impact on their takings over the last few months, because of building work in the square.
There was a brief respite over the festive period, when the square opened temporarily, but some have questioned how successful it was at attracting shoppers back to the town.
Three business owners, who run a butcher, a sweet shop and a barber, spoke to Manx Radio.
They say they have been affected, and are looking forward to the work being finished:
