Large turnout expected for service at St Johns
Police say Thursday will see diversions and rerouted buses in St John’s as the funeral takes place of a much-loved pillar of the Manx community.
A service commemorating the life of farmer, broadcaster, preacher, commissioner and Captain of German parish John Kennaugh will take place at St Johns Methodist Church from 1.30pm on Thursday.
But with a large turnout expected, officers say they’ll close the main road through the village from 12.30pm until no later than 3pm.
Traffic and buses will divert via The Hope to the junction of Main Road and Station Road.
