A song about the night of the Summerland fire has been chosen to represent the Isle of Man in the International Song Contest at next year’s Pan Celtic Festival in the Irish Republic.
It was selected at the annual 'Arrane son Mannin', or 'Song for Man', competition for original compositions in Manx, which took place at the Masonic Hall in Peel last night (Friday).
'In Summerland' was performed by the group Ny Jinnyn, and was co-written by Laura and David Rowles, and Lizzie and Dave Mclean.
