Tynwald votes to release £2.5m in funding for project
The chair of the Douglas Bay Tramway Heritage Trust says she's 'thrilled' Tynwald voted to restore the tram track to the Sea Terminal.
£2.5m in funding will be released for the Department of Infrastructure scheme.
It will see the track finally completed along the length of Douglas Promenade.
Speaking after the final sitting of the current administration Daphne Caine said she is 'thrilled to bits' at the outcome:
Daphne Caine is seeking re-election in Garff in September's General Election.
The other candidates standing are Anthony Allen, Sean Bostrom, Aishlinn Creer, Vicki Hewison, Peter Kermeen and Martyn Perkins.
