A long serving member of Douglas Borough Council believes the public has the right to be present at the selection of the council leader.
Stephen Pitts is unhappy with the present arrangement, under which the process is carried out behind closed doors.
He wants the work of the council to be more transparent, and is calling for the private session later today (Wednesday) to be moved into public:
