Government backs scheme until March
Financial support for travel and tourism businesses that are suffering as a result of Covid-19 restrictions has been extended into next spring.
A further £4.5 million from the government's economic recovery fund has been put into to the strategic capacity scheme.
It's being made available to all eligible accommodation businesses, regardless of their star rating, and whether they've already received funding from the scheme.
The £3,000 coronavirus business grant has also been extended for those in the sector.
Financial assistance schemes will continue until the end of March.
Government says it's to support those affected by border closures during the tourism 'off-season'.
