Local agent says it's 'another hammer blow' to industry
The global spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has come as a bitter blow to the local travel industry.
That's according to the managing director of Port Erin based Thompson Travel Worldchoice.
David Thompson says the new testing requirements for travellers takes the industry back to where it was in the summer.
He believes operators are pinning their hopes on restrictions being a short-term measure while the scientific assessment of the threat posed is completed:
