Liverpool FC hosting a victory parade throughout the city
People travelling to the Island from Liverpool today (29 May) could face significant travel disruption.
Liverpool FC is hosting a victory bus parade throughout the city.
It's due to start at 4pm and will cover 13.5km, with a number of road closures along the way.
The Strand, which is the road that runs alongside the ferry terminal, will be closed from the Leeds Street/Old Hall Street junction to the Blundell Street junction from 7am until it is safe to reopen.
The southbound lane will be closed from around 1pm subject to crowd safety requirements.
The Steam Packet Company says it will be warning passengers on any of the affected sailings and has published diversion routes here.
