Insurance including full medical cover will be an absolute necessity for travel between the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom, from April.
That has become clear, following confirmation this week the Reciprocal Health Agreement between the two jurisdictions will end on March 31.
Issues now on the table include who will provide that insurance and what will it cost?
People are also wondering whether travel insurance will be availabe to all Manx residents and visitors, regardless of their age or exisiting medical conditions?
The Channel Islands lost their reciprocal deal with the UK last June, and on Mandate PM Marian Kenny asked director of Jersey Tourism David de Carteret how much anguish it had caused them:
