Storm force winds forced the Steam Packet to cancel services today (Thursday), including this evening's 7.45 sailing from Douglas to Heysham and the return service at 2.15am.
However, with conditions expected to ease overnight, it's hoped Friday's schedule will operate as normal.
The extreme conditions also caused problems at Ronaldsway, with no flights landing after 6.20pm.
Evening departures to Liverpool and Manchester were also cancelled.
