£25 million target not unachievable says MHK
The treasury minister's been labelled 'bold' for plans to cut £25m off government expenditure over a five-year period.
Public suggestions were sought for the SAVE scheme. The £25 million figure was revised to £15 million, but so far only £6 million of potential savings have been identified.
They include a new approach to legal aid, known as the Public Defender Unit.
Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker has given his support to the plans - and rejects the notion the initial £25m target was always unachievable.
