Additional funds for health will be sought at this month's Tynwald sitting
The treasury minister admits taking £20 million from the Island's reserves to cover overspending in health is not something he relishes.
Alex Allinson will ask Tynwald to approve a supplementary vote at this month's sitting, increasing the Department of Health and Social Care's budget for the current financial year.
If approved it will come from the General Reserve, and cover Manx Care's expected £15.8 million overspend, potential tertiary costs and other risks to the forecast.
