Extra £5-7million being given to help struggling businesses
The Treasury Minister is confident the Island's economy will bounce back after lockdown, despite acknowledging a continuing need for financial support.
Alf Cannan announced Treasury is injecting a further £5-7million into helping businesses, with MERA and the Salary Support Scheme being extended into next month.
It's to help those currently unable to work as a result of the Island's coronavirus measures.
However, Mr Cannan says the Island bounced back well after the first lockdown and believes the same can be done this time:
