Treasury minister says delaying the budget would've caused problems

16 members voted for the financial plan while 8 were against 

The treasury minister says delaying the budget would have caused knock-on problems for Island businesses and the government.

Before Alex Allinson could deliver the financial plans before Tynwald on Tuesday, some MHKs expressed their concerns about the documents, which they said they didn't have enough time to analyse.

In the end, the Pink Book was passed by the majority of members, but with a record eight voting against
