Analysts at the Isle of Man Treasury have been dissecting the gloomy economic forecast presented by UK Chancellor Alistair Darling last week.
For the first time, politicians from the Island travelled to London to hear the Chancellor's Mansion House speech for themselves.
Economists were listening to Alistair Darling's every word - for clues as to how he sees the UK faring in the near future.
