54-year-old will be committed to Court of General Gaol
A Castletown man will stand trial after being accused of possessing high purity cocaine.
Christopher James Hynes, of Maynrys, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he entered a not guilty plea.
The 54-year-old allegedly had five grams of the Class A drug, at School Hill, with the intent to supply it on 26 April.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 7 December; he’s been bailed until that date.

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 2 February Mr Hynes denied the charge. A three-day trial will start on 10 June; he's been bailed until that date.
Update: Christopher James Hynes was found guilty after trial. He will be sentenced on 1 August.
