25-year-old also denies resisting arrest
A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of assaulting a police officer.
Dean Michael Shipsides, of Urley Path, also denies resisting two officers in the execution of their duty.
Both offences were allegedly committed on Regent Street on 3 September.
A pre-trial review will take place on 7 November; the 25-year-old has been bailed until that date.
