33-year-old denies Diazepam offence
A Colby man will stand trial after denying being over the drug driving limit whilst on prescription medication.
Daniel Sydney Andrews, of Station Park, entered a not guilty plea during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33-year-old allegedly had more than the legal limit of Diazepam in his system whilst at the Southern Civic Amenity Site on 3 April.
A pre-trial review will take place on 12 October; he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 31 January Andrews admitted a new offence of driving without due care and consideration.
The charge of being over the drug driving limit was withdrawn.
Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood fined him £350 and ordered him to pay £125 in prosecution costs; his licence was also endorsed with four penalty points.
