49-year-old accused of domestic abuse
A Douglas man will stand trial after denying being controlling or coercive towards his partner.
Craig Alan Vaughn, of Peveril Street, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he entered a not guilty plea to the domestic abuse offence.
The 49-year-old allegedly checked the woman’s phone, recorded and translated her conversations, made her delete her social media accounts and tracked her location.
It’s alleged the offending took place between 31 July 2023 and 30 March this year.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 18 June; he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: Mr Vaughn will stand trial at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on 19 February 2025.
