41-year-old denies three offences
An Onchan man will stand trial after being accused of using controlling or coercive behaviour.
Alan Christopher O’Reilly, of Main Road, denied the offence during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 41-year-old has also been charged with assaulting his partner and assaulting her causing actual bodily harm – the offences are said to have taken place between March and July.
A pre-trial review will take place on 3 October; he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: During an appearance at Douglas Courthouse on 26 September no evidence was offered on charges of displaying controlling or coercive behaviour, common assault on a female and assault causing actual bodily harm.
O'Reilly pleaded guilty to domestic abuse and possession of cannabis and is due to be sentenced on 7 November.
