Tribute is being paid to a popular Island lawyer.
The body of 45 year-old Paul O’Neill was found beneath the Erskine bridge near Glasgow on Friday afternoon.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious and are preparing a report for the procurator fiscal.
Paul O’Neill moved to the Island from Scotland in 1992 and was been involved in a number of significant cases, including the Peter Newbery double murder trial and the defamation case involving the late Roly Drower and Island millionaire Albert Gubay.
Before being called to the Manx bar, he was articled by former First Deemster William Cain (audio file attached):
Mr O’Neill had been in Scotland after appearing in court there last Wednesday.
