Tributes are being paid to a Manxman whose work helped a dream become a reality.
Geoff Corlett, who has passed away at the age of 86, was the father of the Island Games, having chiefly organised the very first Inter-Island event in July 1985 before going on to become an honorary life member of the Island Games Association.
Noel Cringle, the first chairman of the IGA, says Geoff loved competition, health and friendship - everything that defines the NatWest Island Games:
