Alan Bradley has died aged 87
Tributes are being paid to Island-based author Alan Bradley who has died at the age of 87.
The Canadian-born writer, who lived in Peel, was best known for creating young detective Flavia de Luce in his debut novel The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.
His bestselling mystery series has sold millions of copies around the world with the 12th instalment due for release later this year.
A film adaptation of the first book, starring Martin Freeman, was released in April.
