Speech and drama teacher an inspiration for many
Tributes have been paid to a well-known figure in the Manx performing arts community, Pat Corrin, who has died.
Organisers of The Guild called her an 'important part of [their] history', who played an integral part in the festival's speech and drama sections.
She was awarded an OBE in 1995 for her work with charities such as Cruse Bereavement, with which she served as Patron until her latter years.
Two years later Mrs Corrin and her husband, the former First Deemster Jack Corrin, were the only two invited Manx guests at the funeral of Princess Diana.
Chairman of the Manx Music Festival Sarah Kelly said she was an 'inspiration to many' who 'showed people the greatness inside themselves'.
